Opened Louise Hay's 'Everyday positive thinking' book the other day. Did not really put any thought into what page I was going to read so decided to simply fan the pages and stop when it felt right. The quote I spontaneously chose was:
'Reach for the feeling of well-being first, and everything else will fall into place. Be selfish enough to follow your bliss, and you will tap in the natural, pure, positive essence of you.' Abraham-Hicks.
This past month I had to deal with a very sensitive and difficult situation at work that was affecting several employees. Upon reflecting what steps I was going to take to resolve the issue the one 'selfish thought' that played a strong role in my decision and plan of action was....at the end, will I be in a happier place? Although I knew others were affected, I chose to focus on what would help me feel blissful once more and proceeded to make whatever choices were required to follow my bliss. Wonderfully enough, the universe opened it's arms and everything fell into place beautifully. The resources required to deal with the situation were promptly available upon asking, there was overwhelming support from various sources and at the end of the day, when all was said and done....many people, including myself were feeling quite blissful. I am grateful for the blessing of this experience.
